SMS & Messaging Terms

Terms governing text messages and electronic messaging from JHBRIDGE Translation Services.

Overview

JHBridge Translation Services ("JHBridge," "we," "us," or "our") may send text messages (SMS) and other electronic messages to users in connection with its services. These SMS & Messaging Terms govern the receipt of such messages and apply to all users who provide a mobile phone number to JHBridge, whether through our website, booking forms, account registration, or any other method of engagement.

These terms supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By providing your phone number and using JHBridge services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these SMS & Messaging Terms. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

JHBridge uses text messaging as one of several communication channels to deliver timely, service-related information to our clients, interpreters, and other users. We are committed to using SMS responsibly and only for purposes that are relevant to your engagement with our services.

Types of Messages

JHBridge may send transactional messages related to service requests, appointment confirmations and reminders for interpretation bookings, order status updates for translation projects, account and security notifications, and invoice or payment reminders. These messages are directly related to the services you have requested or the account you maintain with JHBridge and are necessary for the proper functioning of our service delivery.

Examples of transactional messages include confirmation of a new interpretation booking, reminders about upcoming scheduled appointments, notifications that a translated document is ready for review or download, alerts about changes to a scheduled assignment, payment receipt confirmations, and security notifications such as password reset codes or unusual account activity alerts.

JHBridge does not send marketing text messages unless you have separately opted in to receive promotional communications via SMS. Marketing messages, if you opt in, may include information about new services, special offers, or company updates. Marketing SMS communications are always separate from transactional messages and are governed by separate consent.

Consent

By providing your phone number and using JHBridge services, you consent to receive transactional text messages related to your service requests and account. This consent covers all transactional and service-related messages described in the Types of Messages section above. Your consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services, although certain service features that rely on SMS notifications may be limited if you withdraw consent.

You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting JHBridge at contact@jhbridgetranslation.com. Upon withdrawal of consent, JHBridge will cease sending text messages to your number, although there may be a brief processing period during which previously queued messages may still be delivered. Withdrawal of SMS consent does not affect other forms of communication, such as email.

If you have opted in to receive marketing text messages, that consent is separate from your transactional message consent and may be withdrawn independently. You may opt out of marketing messages while still receiving transactional messages, or you may opt out of all text messages entirely. JHBridge maintains records of consent and opt-out requests in accordance with applicable law.

STOP and HELP

To stop receiving text messages from JHBridge, reply STOP to any message you receive from us. After replying STOP, you will receive a single confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out request, and no further text messages will be sent to your number unless you re-opt in by contacting JHBridge or providing your phone number again through our services.

Please note that STOP and HELP commands are processed automatically. If you experience any issues with opting out, such as continuing to receive messages after replying STOP, please contact us directly at the email address or phone number listed above so we can resolve the issue manually. We take opt-out requests seriously and will address any delivery issues promptly.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your service activity and account status. You will not receive more messages than reasonably necessary for service-related communications. For example, if you have a single interpretation booking, you may receive a confirmation message and one or two reminder messages. If you have multiple active projects or bookings, message frequency will naturally be higher to keep you informed about each engagement.

JHBridge does not send a fixed number of messages per day, week, or month. The volume of messages you receive is determined entirely by your level of engagement with our services. Users with no active service requests or account activity will not receive messages. Users with frequent bookings or active translation projects may receive several messages over a short period.

We design our messaging to be informative without being excessive. If you feel you are receiving too many messages, please contact us at contact@jhbridgetranslation.com and we will review your communication preferences. You can also opt out of all text messages at any time by replying STOP, as described in the STOP and HELP section above.

Carrier Fees

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. JHBridge is not responsible for carrier fees associated with receiving text messages. These fees are determined entirely by your wireless service provider and your individual plan terms. JHBridge does not charge any fee for sending or receiving text messages through our service.

If you are unsure whether your mobile plan includes text messaging or whether additional charges may apply, we recommend contacting your wireless carrier before opting in to receive text messages from JHBridge. Some carriers may charge per-message fees, while others include unlimited text messaging in their plans.

JHBridge is not liable for any charges, fees, or costs imposed by your mobile carrier in connection with text messages sent or received through our services. By consenting to receive text messages from JHBridge, you accept full responsibility for any carrier fees that may result.

Delivery

JHBridge does not guarantee delivery of text messages. Delivery depends on your carrier, device, and network conditions. Messages may be delayed or undelivered due to factors outside JHBridge's control, including but not limited to network congestion, carrier outages, device incompatibility, incorrect phone numbers, and geographic coverage limitations.

JHBridge is not liable for any damages, losses, missed appointments, or other consequences resulting from undelivered or delayed text messages. Text messages are provided as a convenience and should not be relied upon as the sole method of receiving important notifications. Users are encouraged to also monitor their email and JHBridge account dashboard for important updates and notifications.

If you are not receiving text messages that you expect to receive, please verify that your phone number on file with JHBridge is correct, that your device is able to receive SMS messages, and that you have not previously opted out by replying STOP. Privacy

Phone numbers and messaging data are handled in accordance with JHBridge's Privacy Policy. We collect and store your phone number for the purpose of delivering service-related text messages and maintain records of messages sent and received for compliance and quality assurance purposes. Phone numbers are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

JHBridge may share your phone number with third-party service providers that assist us in delivering text messages, such as SMS gateway providers and cloud communications platforms. These providers are contractually obligated to use your phone number only for the purpose of delivering messages on behalf of JHBridge and are required to maintain appropriate security measures to protect your information.
